ROAD Closures For Shetland TV Filming

6 January, 2022 | Local

SCENES for BBC crime drama Shetland are to be shot at Inverclyde locations this month.

Filming for new episodes of the show — which stars Douglas Henshall as detective Jimmy Perez — is set to take place in Kilmacolm and countryside near Greenock.

Duchal Road, Glebe Road and Lyle Road, Kilmacolm will be closed on the morning of Thursday 13 January while the production crew is in the area.

The next day (14 January), filming will take place on Dunrod Road, resulting in closure of the route between Greenock Cut Visitor Centre and the Old Largs Road.

Scenes for the programme have been filmed at a number of places in Inverclyde in recent years, and the crew used The Esplanade in Greenock last month.
