MURRAY & Henderson Chartered Accountants are recruiting for their Accountancy Apprenticeship scheme.
Murray & Henderson is a long-established and progressive chartered accountancy firm, who have been trading in Inverclyde since 1964. In 2023 they relocated to their current offices in Kempock Street, Gourock, which they recently purchased.
Last year the firm became an Authorised Training Office with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and this year, local boy, Jack Neilson, became the firm’s first ever ICAS Trainee.
Due to experiencing an increase in business growth, Murray & Henderson are currently welcoming applications for an Accountancy Apprenticeship scheme, with successful candidates to be on board by summer 2026.
This exciting opportunity is aimed at school-leavers and offers them the chance to earn a salary, gain hands-on experience, and work towards becoming a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with ICAS.
The apprenticeship lasts five years and is an accredited work-based learning programme, which combines an honours degree from Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University — which is ranked in the top five per cent of global business schools — with the globally recognised ICAS Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
The entry requirements for the Apprenticeship programme are typically four Highers at grade B or above, or equivalent qualifications. Applications will be considered for candidates who have not yet achieved the entry requirements but expect to do so by the end of the current academic year.
