PROPOSED Inverclyde Road Resurfacing Programme Drawn Up

Brougham Street, Greenock

A £1million programme of resurfacing involving 16 Inverclyde roads has been drawn up by council officials.

A report to councillors states that the priority investment list for carriageways has been compiled through analysis of results from the Scottish Road Maintenance Condition Survey, local knowledge of defective lengths of carriageway, number of complaints, accident statistics, liability claims, and public, councillor, and other requests.

Many of the roads had been scheduled for resurfacing in the past 12 months but work couldn’t happen because of the covid pandemic.

It’s hoped work can take place on the programme in the 12 months from the start of April.
