16 May, 2021 | Local

PEOPLE who are unemployed, isolated or have health barriers limiting their ability to get back to work are being urged to contact Stepwell.

Stepwell is a local Social Enterprise company specialising in improving the health, well-being and employment opportunities of local people with health conditions preventing them from moving into work.

The WholeLife™ Employment programme helps people identify their unique strengths, understand their specific barriers to employment, build positive coping strategies while also working with them to improve their physical, emotional and mental health.

Calum Fischer-Keogh of Stepwell said: “As we begin to come out of lockdown, businesses are reopening and now is a great time to start putting things in place and making plans for getting back to work.

“Our programme helps people build confidence, skills and get experience that helps in their lives and into work. We’ve continued to be active throughout the lockdown with online working and are excited to be planning our move back to face to face working as restrictions ease”.

WholeLife™ can provide the following supports: life and career coaching, specialist health provision, personal development workshops, accredited vocational training and supported employment/work placement opportunities.

Stepwell work in close partnership with a number of local employers and organisations to provide additional specialist support when needed, ensuring the best possible connected service is provided for each person’s individual needs.
