PODIATRY Business Opening In Gourock Town Centre

GOUROCK’S main retail hub has welcomed another new business as Dumfries foot specialists Anne Melville Podiatry announce expansion into Inverclyde.

The business, which is set to open at 50 Kempock Street later this month, will provide all aspects of foot care for all of the family including nail, skin conditions and biomechanics.

Anne Melville Podiatry had been patiently waiting on the right base for its next location, with local commercial property firm Bowman Rebecchi supporting.

The firm was launched by owner Anne Melville in 2017. She and her family will be relocating to Inverclyde where husband David grew up.

Before starting the business, Anne worked as a podiatrist for NHS Dumfries and Galloway and is registered with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Anne has spent the past few weeks adapting the premises to create a clinic for her customers and staff, supported by several local firms and traders.

Anne said: “We are delighted to finally be opening our new clinic in Gourock and it is starting to take shape. I would like to thank Bowman Rebecchi for their support throughout the process.

“The business has built an excellent reputation in Dumfries, and we are looking to continue to deliver a first-class service for our Inverclyde customers.

“It has been a long-term ambition for us as a family to move to Inverclyde, and with the new practice now operational, we look forward to settling into the area.”

The practice will be open initially on an appointment-only basis.

Bowman Rebecchi director Andrew Bowman said: “This is another fantastic addition to the mix of business throughout Gourock and it is great to see another independent trader choosing the town to grow.

“Bowman Rebecchi continues to see a high demand for commercial properties across Inverclyde and when we knew the premises were to be available, we were able to offer this to Anne.

“It has been a pleasure supporting both Anne and David and we’d like to wish them continued success with the new premises and urge locals to support their new location.”
