Richard Koiak at Renewco Power said: “We are very grateful to everyone who attended our public consultation events for the Knocknair Renewable Energy Park. It was great to speak to members of the local community and hear their views on the proposals. We are delighted to confirm that a planning application has now been submitted.

“We are pleased to be playing a part in Scotland’s transition towards net zero. By supporting the grid and ensuring supply of renewable energy is able to meet the growing demand, projects such as the one proposed will be paramount in the decarbonisation of our society.”

The application is pending consideration by Inverclyde Council planners.
