CONSULTATION is taking place over plans for a new walking, wheeling and cycling route between the Cut and Greenock town centre.
Proposals have been developed by Inverclyde Council, in partnership with active travel organisation Sustrans and consultants Atkins.
The route would start at the car park at Overton and head down a path on the hillside from Papermill Road, between Whinhill School and houses at Overton, to Kenilworth Crescent.
It would join Drumfrochar Road at Peat Road and go down Lynedoch Street, and finish with a new ramp connecting lower Lynedoch Street at Wellpark to Bank Street at Cathcart Street.
Community organisation Your Voice is undertaking an equality impact assessment to see how the route could impact or help members of protected groups in terms of age, disability, race, sex, gender, pregnancy.
People can see the proposed designs and leave comments online.
There are community engagement sessions at the following times:
Your Voice Office: Monday 11 December, 3 to 4pm, 12 Clyde Square.
Broomhill Gardens and Community Hub: Thursday 14 December, 3:30 to 5:30pm, 46 Mearns Street.
