PENSIONER Charged Over Gourock Shrubbery Fire

A BLAZE in Gourock was allegedly started on purpose by a pensioner trying to get rid of vegetation.

Police were called to Cloch Road in Gourock on Monday evening.

Sergeant Jason Logsdon said: “After investigation it was established that the fire was allegedly set intentionally to remove shrubbery however the smoke caused significant issues to road users

“A 70-year-old male was charged for this offence and will be subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.”
