Inverclyde Now Logo OPEN Air Pop-Up Opera Shows At Greenock Harbourside

OUTDOOR opera comes to Greenock’s waterfront later this week.

Scottish Opera is staging three shows beside the Beacon Arts Centre.

There will be miniatiure versions of The Gondoliers and Don Giovanni, just 30 minutes each, and discover The Song of the Clyde, a new show created especially for families.

Physical distancing and other safety measures will be observed at all times.

Scottish Opera’s pop-up trailer will be at East India Harbour, on the parking area to the right of the Beacon.

Performances (recommended for ages seven-plus) are as follows:

Friday (4 September)

2:30pm — A Little Bit of The Gondoliers

4:30pm — The Song of the Clyde

Saturday (5 September)

Noon — The Song of the Clyde

2:30pm — The Song of the Clyde

4:30pm — A Little Bit of Don Giovanni
