WORK is starting on the iconic cruise ship terminal building to be developed on Greenock’s Waterfront.
A piling machine is now in operation at the site, beside Greenock Ocean Terminal, behind the Waterfront Cinema, as preparation for construction work.
How the facility is expected to look
The building will house a visitor centre, restaurant and gallery, dedicated to the work of sculptor George Wyllie.
Work has been underway for some months on a new berthing facility to increase the number of cruise ships terminal can handle.
