MORTON Takes Centre Stage For Centenary Of Cup Win

MORTON play Mon Eh ‘Ton! returns to the Beacon this week to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the club winning the Scottish Cup.

The show, by local playwright David Carswell, tells the history of club in a funny and poignant way and was first staged in September 2017.

It is on at the Greenock venue on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (14 to 16 April), 7.30 each night.

Morton beat Rangers 1:0 at Hampden on 15 April 1922 to win the Scottish Cup, Jimmy Gourlay scoring in the 12th minute.
