LIFELONG Morton fan Mark Kelly has been appointed as the club’s new general manager.
Mark has been serving the club since 2020 in a number of different roles, first starting as a volunteer as part of the TonTV Livestreams before becoming commercial executive in March 2022.
His appointment to general manager is initially on an interim basis for a six months.
Mark said: “Growing up a Morton fan and also being a member of Morton Club Together since its creation, it is a real honour and privilege to take on the role of general manager at a club that means so much to me. My journey with Morton began as a volunteer during a very challenging time for the club, and to now step into this position is something I am incredibly proud of.
“I am grateful to everyone at the club who has supported me along the way, and I am looking forward to continuing to work with the staff, players, supporters, and our partners as we build on the positive progress that has been made in recent years.
“Greenock Morton is a special club with a passionate fanbase, and I am excited about what we can achieve together moving forward.”

Club director David Whitton said: “As a board, we are very committed to encouraging internal progression and personal development and felt this was a great opportunity to do exactly that with Mark.
“Mark has been involved in the club as a volunteer and staff member for around six years now, and his commitment and passion for the club is clear for everyone to see. We wish him all the best in the role and look forward to supporting him to be successful.”
