MORE Expansion Proposed For Clyde Coast Caravan Park

THE owners of an Inverclyde caravan park have applied for a third phase of expansion.

Penine Leisure want to create around 50 extra caravan spaces in a field beside their site at Kellybank at Wemyss Bay.

Car parking and estate roads would also be formed.

A similar proposal for part of a field north of the site is already being considered by Inverclyde Council planners.

Penine were also granted permission last year to use a field at nearby Kelly Mains Farm, beside the Parkdean caravan park, for extra caravan/mobile home pitches plus a restaurant

The three phases of expansion would amount to an additional 150 pitches.

The family-run operation have previously stated that occupancy figures have been increasing.

Kellybank has 140 caravan pitches at present, up from 80 when Penine purchased the caravan park in 2002.
