
DETECTIVES investigating the alleged murder of Robert Best in Inverclyde have arrested a further two men.
A 36-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with the death. He was due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Thursday.
A 25-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with attempting to pervert the course of justice. He is due to appear in court at a later date.
Mr Best’s body was found in a field near High Mathernock Farm, Kilmacolm on Tuesday 11 November. He had been reported missing from Greenock on the same day. Extensive police inquiries took place at a property in Lansbury Street in relation to the death.
Two men, aged 44 and 51, and two women aged, 41 and 64, were previously arrested and charged in connection with the investigation and have appeared in court.
Enquiries are ongoing.
