A MAN was charged with a drug-related offence after being stopped by a police patrol.
Officers had reason to search the 31-year-old on Dempster Street, Greenock at 8:45pm on Saturday.
Sergeant Jason Logsdon said: “He allegedly attempted to obstruct officers by trying to swallow a number of white tablets and was restrained and arrested.”
He was also allegedly found to be in breach of bail curfew conditions and was held in custody for court.
