DETECTIVES have made two arrests following an alleged robbery and assault in Greenock.
A 20-year-old man was allegedly attacked and had personal belongings stolen from him in a lane between Kilcreggan View and Clynder Road around 10pm on Thursday.
He was taken hospital for treatment to injuries.
Extensive enquiries were carried out by police who have confirmed that two men, both aged 26, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
