EMERGENCY services were called to help a yachtsman who took ill while sailing on the Clyde off Inverkip.
Largs lifeboat went to the aid of the sailor who was having difficulty returning to Kip Marina.
The crew decided that the man’s condition was such that it would be best to transfer him on to the lifeboat for the journey to the marina where an ambulance had been requested to attend.
The lifeboat later towed the yacht back to the marina.
The incident on Wednesday morning was also attended by Greenock’s Coastguard rescue team.
