INVERCLYDE firm Bowman Rebecchi Letting is celebrating after being accredited as a Living Wage employer.

The Living Wage commitment will see everyone working at Bowman Rebecchi Letting receive a minimum hourly wage of £9.50, compared with the government minimum for over-23s, which currently stands at £8.91 per hour.

Andrew Bowman, director of Bowman Rebecchi Letting, said: “This is an important commitment that we are making, and we would encourage more businesses to sign up for this important pledge and investment.

“Being certified as a Living Wage accredited employer is something that all of our team believe strongly in and we will continue to champion in the coming months and years.

“We have a fantastic team at Bowman Rebecchi Letting and making this pledge will ensure all current and future employees will see and feel the benefits.”

Laura Gardiner, director, Living Wage Foundation said: “We are delighted that Bowman Rebecchi Letting has joined the movement of over 7,000 responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to go further than the government minimum to make sure all their staff earn enough to live on.

“These businesses recognise that paying the real Living Wage is the mark of a responsible employer and they believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay.”
