KILMACOLM And Port Glasgow Agricultural Show This Weekend

THE 188th Kilmacolm and Port Glasgow Agricultural Show will take place in the spectacular setting of the Knapps Loch on Saturday (13 May) from 9am.

There will be hundreds of entries in a wide range of classes including sheep, cows, horses (light and heavy), children’s cattle, and dogs.

The Industrial Tent will showcase the domestic arts, crafts and baking by adults and children. Entry forms and fees must be submitted by Friday 12 May.

Light Horse classes, including cross country, show-jumping, showing and games, will run all day. Light Horse classes should be entered online at www.kilmacolmshow.org. Entries will be taken on showday at the Horse Tent at the increased fee amounts.

There will be a dog show for all hairy hounds — dogs do not need to be KC registered and entries are taken on showday from 10.30 at the Dog Ring or can be made online at www.kilmacolmshow.org.

There will be entertainment in the main ring, including the fantastic St Columba’s School Pipe Band, Ridden Clydesdales, Dancers, Dog Teams and, joining the line-up for the first time, The Drakes of Hazard. a spectacular duck and sheepdog display team!

Meanwhile, The Knapps Experience will be next to the main ring where young and old can meet some friendly animals, brush up on their agricultural knowledge, learn about the environment, local heritage, and try milking a cow!
