INDEPENDENT Greenock School Celebrates Outstanding Exam Success
PUPILS from Cedars School of Excellence in Greenock again secured an outstanding set of exam results.
Students at the independent school in Ardgowan Square achieved 100 per cent A to C passes at Higher and 95 per cent A to C passes at National 5.
These figures compare with Scotland’s national A to C pass rate of 74.8 per cent at Higher and 78.2 per cent pass rate at National 5.
Cedars pupils also scored 100 per cent pass rates at National 3 and National 4.
Head teacher Fraser Speirs said: “We are absolutely delighted with this excellent set of exam results. While exams are not everything in education, they are a very important stepping stone to young people’s futures.
“We are happy to be sending our leavers to such destinations as Glasgow University, Edinburgh University, Glasgow Caledonian University and West College Scotland.”
