AROUND 50 intrepid dippers and swimmers braved the cold waters of the Clyde on New Year’s Day at the Royal West of Scotland Amateur Boat Club.
The water temperature was 6.8 degrees centigrade, the coldest experienced in the seven years in which the event has taken place.
Regular swimming from the boat club will recommence in mid-April.
