MORE than 60 people braved the icy waters off Royal Gourock Yacht Club on New Year’s Day.

Social convenor Alison Allan said: “It was great to see so many people enjoying the day, both in and out of the water.
“I think we had a record number of swimmers this year; there were so many folk splashing out and helping support a very worthwhile cause.
“The ages of the swimmers ranged from four to over 70!
“The swim raised over £300 for lifeboat charity the RNLI and everyone seemed to enjoy the day….a win-win all round!”
