CLOCH Housing Association hosted a gala day, welcoming more than 500 tenants and families for a vibrant celebration of community, connection and summer fun.
It was held at Lady Octavia Sports Centre, Greenock, and there was a wide range of activities including a bouncy castle, gladiator duel, sticky wall, penalty shootout, archery and two face-painters.

The petting zoo delighted animal lovers of all ages, magician Billy Reid entertained with his tricks, and Active Schools provided sports fun.
Representatives from the local police and fire brigade attended other partner organisations who offered advice and support, including: Financial Fitness, Community Links and PH Jones, who recently installed new boilers in many Cloch homes.

Guests were treated to free refreshments, including pizza, hot dogs, slushies, and — new for this year — candy floss, plus local favourite Purdie’s Pantry offered delicious homemade goodies.
Michael Monaghan of Cloch Housing Association said: “At Cloch, our summer gala is one of the highlights of our year. It’s a chance for families to come together, for neighbours to connect, and for us to build stronger relationships with the people we serve. These events are about more than just fun — they’re about creating a sense of belonging and showing that we’re here, not just as a landlord, but as a partner in the community.”
“We’re incredibly grateful to Caledonian Maintenance Services for their generous support in helping us make the day possible. Their backing means we can offer something truly special for local families. We’re also proud to work alongside fantastic local organisations and services — from the fire service and police to our regular partners at Active Schools and other valued community groups who brought so much to the event.
“We’re excited to keep building on this momentum, with more opportunities ahead to connect, collaborate, and celebrate everything that makes our community thrive.”
