HOSPITAL Staff Bring Festive Cheer With Toy Appeal

16 December, 2025 | Local

CARING staff at Inverclyde Royal Hospital have held a toy collection for local children.

The effort by the critical care unit team was organised to mark World Kindness Day, with donations supporting Mind Mosaic’s Little Box of Love at Christmas Appeal.

Mind Mosaic will work to ensure the gifts reach children and families in Inverclyde who need them most.

The team received donations from colleagues across the hospital, as well as volunteers from the Royal Voluntary Service and families visiting patients, all of whom helped make the appeal a success.

Dozens of toys and gifts were delivered to the grateful charity’s base at Ladyburn Business Centre in Greenock last week.

Yvonne Dolan, lead nurse for critical care at the IRH, said: “Our team wanted to do something special to spread kindness and support families in our community.

“Seeing the generosity of staff and supporters has been truly heart-warming. We hope these gifts bring joy to children this Christmas.

“Doing appeals such as these, and receiving so much support from volunteers and members of our community, really boosts staff morale and it’s a wonderful reminder of the difference we can make when we come together.”
