AN A-listed disused church building in Greenock’s West End has been put up for sale.
The former Finnart St Paul’s Church on Newark Street, which dates back to 1893, is available at offers around £230,000.
The listing on the Church of Scotland website states: “In addition to its current use, [the building] could be used, without the necessity of obtaining change-of-use consent, as a crèche, day nursery, day centre, educational establishment, museum, art gallery or public library.
“There is also potential for a variety of other uses, such as a theatre, cinema or entertainment venue, hospitality and restaurant, retail space or community resource, subject to obtaining appropriate consents.”
Finnart St Paul’s, the Old West Kirk and Ardgowan Parish Church all merged to form Lyle Kirk in 2011. Lyle Kirk use the former Ardgowan building in Union Street.
