GREENOCK College Campus Welcomes Government Minister

SCOTLAND’S minister for further education visited West College Scotland’s Greenock campus.

Jamie Hepburn MSP, met students and apprentices from a number of vocational courses including engineering, joinery and construction at the Finnart Street complex.

Mr Hepburn, who is minister for higher education and further education, youth employment and training, was accompanied by Greenock and Inverclyde MSP Stuart McMillan.

Liz Connolly, college principal, said: “We were delighted to host the minister, giving Mr Hepburn the opportunity to meet a number of our students and to discuss with him West College Scotland’s ambitious commitments for the future provision of the highest-quality further education to the Inverclyde community.”

The visit concluded with refreshments created and served by level five hospitality students.
