THE operator of Greenock’s Esplanade Cafe has applied to use an empty unit in Gourock town centre as a hot food takeaway.
The proposal involves a vacant office unit at 55 Kempock Street and has been made by Marco Medinelli, who listed on application papers as being of the Good Food Co Gourock Ltd.
Drawings submitted to Inverclyde Council’s planning department show a customer area with a freezer and cake displays plus a preparation area for hot food, including paninis.
The application is pending consideration by council officials.
