INVERCLYDE’S Christmas lights switch-on events start this week.
The first takes place at Kempock Gardens in Gourock on Friday (21 November) from 6pm.
That will be followed on Wednesday 26 November with Port Glasgow’s event, outside the library from 6pm.
The district’s four villages all get their festive illuminations switched on on Friday 28 November:
Quarrier’s Village at the village centre from 3.30pm
Inverkip at the village hub from 5.30pm
Kilmacolm at the Cargill Centre from 6pm
Wemyss Bay at the community centre from 7pm
Greenock will not be having its traditional switch-on event this year but there will be a festive fun afternoon in West Blackhall Street om Saturday 29 November.
