DROP-In Vaccination Session In Greenock

22 November, 2022 | Noticeboard

A COVID-19 and flu drop-in session is available in Greenock this weekend.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is providing vaccination drop-ins at a number of community clinics for eligible members of the public.

The service will initially be available to those over the age of 65, front-line health and social care staff, or for people who have not yet had a first or second covid vaccination.

A drop-in takes place at Greenock Town Hall on Sunday (27 November) from 10am to 6pm.

Anne Harkness, NHSGGC vaccination programme director, said: “We are pleased to be offering drop-in services for those who are eligible or who have not yet had their initial covid vaccinations.

“Previous drop-in services have been a great success and we would encourage those eligible to attend one of our clinics.

“We would like to encourage members of the public who are eligible for a vaccination, especially those who are under the age of 65, to continue to book appointments through NHS Inform as this will help to avoid potential queues at vaccination centres.

“However, we recognise that some people would rather utilise a drop-in opportunity, which is why we are pleased to be able to offer this service once again.”
