CROWD Of 1,500 Allowed At Cappielow For First League Game

MORTON have been granted a capacity of 1,500 at Cappielow for the first Championship match of the season.

The side face Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday.

A combination of seating and standing has been approved by Inverclyde Council.

Tickets are limited to home fans and there will be allocated entry and exit times.

Morton stress that an increased crowd has been allowed “as a result of the excellent co-operation” of fans who attended the Airdrie and Clyde matches.

The club continue: “If we’re to retain the increased capacity for upcoming matches it’s crucial that everyone follows the rules in place.”
