A SHOPKEEPING couple are thanking their customers for all their support over the years, as their convenience store in Gourock closes at the end of the month.

Paul and Pam Dhother’s shop on Shore Street will cease trading on Sunday.

Pam said: “After around 20-plus years in business, it’s with heavy hearts but enormous gratitude that Paul and I announce that our long and exciting journey will come to an end on 31st March.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank every single customer who has been through our doors and supported us over the years and seen us through many changes.

“A business doesn’t survive and thrive for this long without a loving community and loyal customers. We are so thankful for you!

“We are also grateful to our staff, who have been steadfast in their support, and for their effort and dedication. We couldn’t have done this without you.

“We would also like to thank all our suppliers, delivery drivers and all the team for all your hard efforts over the many years.

“Although it’s hard to say goodbye, we will cherish all the friendships and the memories. Thank you to all the friends we have made and the community in which we became a part of. You’ve all truly been a gift to us and it’s been a wonderful journey along the way.

“Now to rest up and plan some well needed family time and holidays with our boys. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
