Inverclyde Now Logo SCOTTISH Ship Show Coming To Greenock

15 August, 2017 | Noticeboard

COASTAL Shipping are holding their third Scottish Ship Show, in Greenock Town Hall, on Saturday 2 September.

Having held two successful shows in Edinburgh, organisers are moving the event to the west coast this year in response to many requests.

There will be maritime-themed activities and traders from across the UK with attractions including model boats, books, photos, postcards, paintings and collectables.

For the first time Transport Past Times will be travelling from Liverpool with their diverse range of printed memorabilia spanning all aspects of shipping, railway, bus and air travel.

Former teachers Bernard and Doreen McCall have been running Coastal Shipping together since 1994. They retired early to focus on writing and publishing books about ships and transport.

The busy family-run publishing company produces specialised books and magazines about coastal shipping, maritime themes, 20th century merchant shipping and occasionally buses and trains.

The Scottish Ship Show is on from 10am to 3.30pm at the town hall in Cathcart Square.

Admission is £3 adults and £2 for concessions. Admission is free for accompanied under-12s free.
