POLICE have confirmed that the body of a man has been found, off Inverkip Road in Greenock.
The discovery was made in the area of Greenock Cemetery around 5.45pm on Thursday.
Police Scotland say the man is still to be formally identified but that the family of Stephen McFarlane (32) from Greenock, who had been reported missing, has been informed.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
The last reported sighting of Mr McFarlane was at 2am on 7 July leaving Inverclyde Royal Hospital. He was reported missing on 11 July.
