AIRCRAFT Carrier’s First Visit To The Clyde

ROYAL Navy aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth arrived on the Clyde for the first time.

The massive vessel sailed past Wemyss Bay and Gourock this morning (Monday) before heading up Loch Long to the Glen Mallan ammunition jetty.

HMS Queen Elizabeth is the largest and most powerful vessel ever constructed for the Royal Navy and is capable of carrying up to 40 aircraft.
