MOTORISTS face nearly a week of disruption on the M8 motorway in Renfrewshire from this weekend.
Contractor Scotland TranServ is resurfacing a 700-metre eastbound section at Junction 31, at Greenock Road.
There will be continuous lane reductions, with a contraflow traffic management system on the M8 westbound.
Resurfacing will be carried out from 6am on Monday 20 July until late evening on Friday 24 July.
To set up and subsequently remove the westbound contraflow, overnight full closures of the M8 eastbound will take place at the following times:
— 8pm on Sunday 19 July until 6am on Monday 20 July
— 8pm on Friday 24 July until 6am on Saturday 25 July
During the installation and removal process, local diversions via Linwood, Bridge of Weir and Kilmacolm will be in place.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys while contraflow system is in place.
