POLICE arrested a woman after being called to a disturbance at 3am today (Thursday) in Greenock.
Officers attended on Lyle Street where they allegedly found a woman smashing a shopping trolley against a lamppost to make noise.
The 37-year-old was also allegedly found to be in possession of a concealed knife.
She was arrested for a number of offences.
Community Inspector Andrew Durk states “It’s unacceptable and illegal to carry a lock-back knife in public.
“People who do so will be robustly targeted by police as it puts lives at risk.”
