POLICE are investigating a wilful fire-raising within a common close in Greenock town centre.
The fire was started at 59 Cathcart Street between 8pm on Friday (10 November) and 9am on Saturday 11 November.
Emergency services were not called at the time and the fire was extinguished by a member of the public.
Anyone with information that may assist the enquiry is urged to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1067 of 13 November.
