
SPORTING champions were honoured at the Inverclyde Sports Personality Awards.
More than 220 people representing many local sports gathered at Greenock Town Hall for the awards ceremony.
There were 10 category awards, with the winners being:

Young Volunteer of the Year sponsored by Inverclyde Council Inclusive Communities: Ben Gerrard
Adult Volunteer of the Year sponsored by Auto-Tec: Jill Aikman

Impact Club of the Year sponsored by Gourock Youth Athletic Club: Inverclyde Athletic Club

A buffet meal was part of the evening, with a talk from Fraser Erskine of Active Inverclyde and contributions from two young sports ambassadors Orla Brady and Heilidh McIntyre.
