A SERIES of talks has been organised exploring how the River Clyde has shaped the townscapes of Inverclyde, powered its economy, and defined its industrial heritage.
The events are part of Inverclyde Council’s wider commemorations of Port Glasgow’s 250th birthday and have been organised by Inverclyde Libraries in partnership with the Beacon Arts Centre, Greenock.
The first talk — Who Owns the Clyde? — will take place at the Beacon on Thursday (25 September) from 7 to 8pm, with writer Louise Welsh and architect Jude Barber, in conversation with Jennifer Horan from Inverclyde Libraries.
Tickets are free but must be booked in advance online.
