Inverclyde-based charity Aid for Education has volunteer opportunities for anyone from gap year students to professionals to work with nursery and primary children in Rwanda teaching English alongside local teachers, as well as sports coaching.
Or you can work with adults in income-generating projects, or assist young women in developing their businesses.
To date, more than 100 volunteers have travelled to volunteer with Aid For Education projects in Rwanda and there is a full-time team of local expert staff to support volunteers.
