UTILITY Player Is Second Signing For Morton

MORTON have confirmed the signing of Carlo Pignatiello on a pre-contract agreement from Livingston.

Pignatiello has just spent a season on loan at Dumbarton, making 41 appearances, scoring twice and being named Young Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Sons View Player of the Year.

The 22-year-old, who is coming to Cappielow on a one-year deal, made his first Scottish Premiership appearance in September 2020 as a late substitute against Celtic. He has had other loan spellsincluding with Stranraer and Arbroath.

Morton manager Dougie Imrie told the club website said: “I am absolutely thrilled to get Carlo signed up for next season, I obviously know him from my time at Livingston and know the qualities he brings to the squad.

“He’s a real utility player who can fill a number of positions in defence and midfield.”

Morton had previously announced the signing of defender Jack Baird.
