POLICE called to a noisy party in Greenock allegedly found controlled drugs at the property.

Officers attended in Murdieston Street around 3:30am on Sunday.

Sergeant Jason Logsdon said: “A small party was in progress however while in the property officers observed a quantity of herbal material believed to be cannabis, various bags containing white powder believed to be cocaine money and drugs paraphernalia equipment.

A 19-year-old man was charged with drug-related offences.

A number of others who were in the property were issued with fixed penalty tickets for breach of Covid pandemic regulations.
