AN 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with alleged assault, possession of offensive weapons, and drugs offences in Greenock.
Officers on patrol in the town centre were made aware of an incident on board a bus on West Stewart Street today, including that a bus driver had been assaulted.
The suspect was arrested a short distance away on West Blackhall Street.
He was allegedly found in possession of two offensive weapons and a quantity of controlled drugs.
He has been charged and is expected to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Thursday.
