TEENAGE Boy Attacked In Greenock

DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy was seriously assaulted.

The attack took place between Kilmacolm Road and Whinhill train station, around 9.20pm on Friday.

The victim was assaulted by two males with a weapon. He was treated in hospital and released a short time later.

The males, wearing all black, had been on an electric pedal bike at the time of the incident.

Detective Constable Stephen Jordan said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the attack, or any suspicious activity, to please come forward.

“We would also ask anyone who may have possible dashcam or CCTV footage from nearby to contact officers.

“Anyone with information can call police on 101, quoting incident 4399 of 26 May. Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if they wish to remain anonymous.”
