A TAXI driver was seriously assaulted in Greenock early today (Monday).
The 62-year-old was attacked on Nelson Street around 4.15am by a male and a female.
The incident happened in the street and the driver suffered head and leg injuries.
He was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he was still being treated this morning.
Any witnesses are urged to call police on 101.
