INVERCLYDE Cho’s Tae Kwon Do Scotland traveled to Worcester University Arena for the British Tae Kwon Do Championships.

The event was hosted by BTC (British Tae Kwon Do Council) and brought together 750 competitors from various tae kwon do federations.

There were eight students from Inverclyde Cho’s Tae Kwon Do club who competed. They faced a long, hard day and some tough fights, coming away with two medals — one silver and one bronze.

The medal winners were:

Jessica Foley, third place in Pee Wee Green Belt Sparring

Liam Laughlan, second place in Boys’ Brown Belt Sparring

Other students taking part were Stephanie Turner, Rebecca Foley, Abigail Pollock, Brandon Matznick and Carolyn Pollock.

The club thank Gus McFarlane from Arc Vehicle Rental Greenock, and Michael McGranaghan from Quintin Tannock & Co.Ltd for sponsorship.
