INVERCLYDE Cho’s Tae Kwon Do held its annual black-belt grading at its new hall.

The club is now based at 146 Old Inverkip Rd, Greenock.

The grading, involving three students, was overseen by Master Charles Boyle, 6th degree black-belt, and academy chief instructor on the day.

Two students grading for 2nd Degree black-belt were successful.

All students had been training intensely since January, adhering to covid guidelines, and had also undertaken three pre-gradings, all to prepare themselves for the gruelling 3½-hour grading.

Students also had to undertake a teaching schedule to enable them to enter the black-belt ranks within AIMAA (Action International Martial Arts Association).

People interested in learning traditional tae kwon do, can find out more and get in touch via the club website www.Inverclyde-Taekwondo.com.

Classes are held from ages 3½ upwards, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
