RNLI Volunteers Cancel Pop-Up Shop After Stock Sells Out

23 November, 2021 | Local, Noticeboard

THE Gourock branch of lifeboat charity RNLI has had to cancel its pop-up shop after sell-out success at a fete.

The volunteers were due to sell Christmas Cards and stocking fillers at the Pierhead information kiosk in Gourock over three days this week.

But a spokesperson said: “On Saturday we had a stall at the Gourock Yacht Club Fete and were very busy.

“We sold all cards and calendars and, as a result, we will not be open on 24, 25 and 26 November.

“We are grateful to our loyal supporters who spent so generously.”

Between two previous spells of opening the kiosk and the fete, the branch raised £1,945 from RNLI goods and received £183 in donations.
