Inverclyde Now Logo RESCUE Operation Launched After Person Reported In The Clyde At Inverkip

COASTGUARDS were called to Inverkip after a kayaker got into difficulties.

The man was in the Clyde requiring assistance having fallen from his kayak off Inverkip around 3.15pm (Sunday).

Coastguard units attended including the rescue helicopter from Prestwick Airport which managed to locate the casualty who had made it to the shoreline.

Greenock Coastguard Rescue Team stated on their Facebook page: “Our paramedic helicopter crew assisted the casualty who thankfully was wearing correct lifejacket and wetsuit.”
