ARDGOWAN Distillery at Inverkip officially opens with a public event later this month.
The free opening day celebration at Bankfoot Farm site is on Friday 20 June from 3 to 7pm.
A spokesman for Ardgowan Distillery said: “After years in the making, the distillery is finally complete and we’re marking the moment with our biggest celebration yet.”
Attractions will include:
— Live music from Reely Jiggered and The Laurettes
— Exclusive tastings and the chance to purchase special open day bottlings
— Food from a range of local vendors
— Children’s activity area
There will be no parking available on-site parking.
A free park and ride service will operate between 2:45pm and 6pm from the car park at Onsite Scanning (OSS), Faulds Park, Gourock, PA19 1FB, every 30 minutes.
There will also be pick-up points at Gourock Train Station (via McInroy’s Point) every 40 minutes; Cathcart Street, Greenock, every 30 minutes; and Inverkip Main Street, every 30 minutes The last return buses depart at 7:15pm
An open day last year attracted whisky lovers from all over the world, from Australia and New Zealand to Germany, Ireland, the USA, Canada, as well as from throughout Scotland.
